Volunteer with a peer education programme that works!

Below is some general information about SPW programmes. More complete information is available from each country programme page, or through our monthly information and selection days.

SPW Peer Educators work in rural schools to present important health information to young people in an accessible way.  By addressing the lack of access to accurate health information on the diseases and illnesses which affect young people, SPW Peer Educators empower youth to take action on health issues in their own communities.

SPW addresses the issues prioritized by rural schools and communities. These can range from ensuring the availability and long-term sustainability of local natural resources to introducing income-generating projects to help build a solid economic base for rural youth and their families.
